Good! Let’s have an Immigration Moratorium! The previous one lasted 41 years (1924 to 1965) and the U.S.A. did just fine.

I didn't see anything bad for America or Americans. I found this comment that reflects my feelings on the subject. "No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session. ― Gideon J. Tucker"

“”” In addition, immigrants who are in the process of becoming naturalized U.S. citizens will not be able to complete the process in time to register to vote, DACA recipients will not be able to renew their benefits, asylum applicants will face increased delays, and businesses will be unable to hire or retain employees. “”””
I’m still looking for the downside to this.

It’s bad news that there will be nobody working on getting this country’s 30 million wetbacks back to the Third World cesspools from which they came.

I remember the quote, but I thought it was from Mark Twain.

Good. Saves American jobs from Indians. Indians already screaming about this on Reddit and Twitter, about their entitlement to US jobs.

“...and churches”
WHY? Since when did ‘churches’ get mixed up with US immigration policy?

USA Today has reported that since Congress has failed to reach a deal on a COVID-19 stimulus package, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) will proceed with its furlough of about 13,400 employees, or about two-thirds of its workforce, on August 30th.

That’s a win in my book, shut immigration down for about 10 years with vigorous interior enforcement.

"Danielle Spooner, President of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 119, which represents workers within the USCIS, said,This isnt only about the 13,400 American families to be laid off during a pandemic this is yet another thinly veiled attack on the legal immigration system by Trump administration officials like Stephen Miller. No thinly veiled political bias demonstrated there by ms spooner.

It’s a big money maker for Catholic charities (and some Protestant). They handle relocation and Uncle Sugar uses our tax dollars to pay for it. Been doing for 40+ years.
A few worthwhile (e.g. South Vietnamese that fled here with the fall of Saigon to avoid genocide).
