I live in Charlotte. About 11 miles due south of the city center - and about 4 miles north of the border with South Carolina.
The RNC is being held “uptown”, which, as I said, is quite a ways from South Carolina. You said the protesters would just need to “run across the border” to avoid the NC National Guard. I merely pointed out that those protesters would have to run a half-marathon to reach the border. Those soy-boys and granola-girls would be out of breath, and out of options, before they reached Dilworth, let alone SC.

Have you ever heard of a car? Guess not because according to you they walked to Charlotte. But it is funny how you seemed to think, even though you lived there, that the city did NOT straddle two states. Funny how that worked out. Last time you said 12 miles. Now you are saying 16 miles. So which is it 16 or 12 miles? Something stinks like BS. To take the “run over the border” literally shows how incompetent you are. Maybe we should only be looking for “peaceful protestors” too who carry peaceful assault weapons and only light peaceful commercial grade fireworks and throw peaceful bags of feces.
