Integrity of the elections has become a political football and frankly, pretty much of a very bad prank on the American people.
Efforts to clean up the voting rolls and to make it conform somewhat to reality have been fought with great intensity by virtually every venue in which Democrats now hold rule. I estimate, that without the various kinds of voter intimidation that Democrats have practiced since the days of post-Reconstruction in the Southern States, and in most urban centers around the US since the rise of the Progressives, that there would have been a much more healthy exercise of conservative prudence than is now the case. First the intimidation, then the substitute of the probable opposition votes with manufactured votes so the total vote approximates the number of known voters in a given district, then the sometimes bogus charges of “invalidated” votes by absentee voters who could not get to the polls on Election day, all add up to probably 20% or more of the population on this country not being accurately or adequately represented in in a number of state legislatures and even in the US Congress itself.
And once in office, the miracles possible with holding an elected post expand exponentially, when it comes to voting out even very bad representatives, who use all the methods of vote suppression and outright fraud to drive away challengers.
Thee is no such thing as a level playing field once this kind of fraud and chicanery has reached into the highest levels of our election process.
