The voting hordes from who knows where just took over.
And poof, just like that Denver was not the place we enjoyed visiting. I live six and a half hours away. Many wealthy from my town had apartments in downtown Denver as a way to get away from small town living and support what the big city offered, and if Covid response didn’t kill what the city offered, rampant lawlessness in downtown Denver certainly did.
The clincher was the recent rally for the police where the few remaining sane folks were literally driven out of town by insane antifa, to include the diminutive Philippine firebrand whose name escapes me at the moment.

Lived in Denver late 1967 until 1975. Then my career took me initially to CA, then back to the east coast and later the mid-west. Our game plan was to return to CO when we retired. Which we did, but chose to live in western CO rather than the now congested front range. In order to get our big city fix, or attend a Broncos game, we rent a home in Cherry Creek (a RBO thing). This works nicely for us ... up until Covid-19 and the rioting in downtown Denver ... which will have some impact on our plans for late September this year. We'll see ...
