Amen.
When I was on the PTA board, we got hit with $16K in fines because prior boards never filed tax returns.
The PTA bought a laptop and accounting software and I spent several weeks rebuilding 5 years of financials so we could file clean returns. We also discovered missing deposits and had to threaten prior boards with prosecution to get the money back.
It took a year of fighting with the taxpayers advocate office of the IRS, but I eventually got all the fines waived. The principal credited me with saving the PTA. I trained the new board members coming in and they have kept it clean ever since.
It’s easy to win against the IRS. Don’t freaking cheat, don’t be a slimy basted and take charity money for yourself, and keep records, records, records...it doesn’t belong to you!

Well said. It’s amazing how careless Republicans can get about such things. Any Republican who holds political money in trust, manages a campaign, or administers a nonprofit needs to take a course on things to avoid. Don’t have the time to do it? You don’t have the time not to do it.
Just an FYI: Okeydoker is an anti-Trump troll.
