Yes, they will have to follow through with the suit. The unions want free pay and Newsom only cares about Democrats against Trump.
My guess is that most of all of the fake virus crap will vanish after the election when Trump wins.
Our children can't defend themselves, can't demand an education, can't force adults to stop using them as human shields. There's no cost to those who make the decision to close schools, no personal consequences when their bad decisions take a toll on millions of children.

Surely, for the children, we can fight back; demand answers; and stop letting a bunch of thugs swollen with power deprive our kids of their childhood, their education, their future. Step up, parents, teachers, government officials, and undo this debacle.
Make them stop hurting our kids.
And schools not being open forces one parent to stay at home with substantial income loss. Or if a single parent, all income loss.
I hope all those parents who’ve voted Dem all their lives heard Biden say he will close the country “if the experts tell him to.”. I hope they heard it loud and clear.

That seems to be the driving issue here in the NYC metro area (for younger children): Schools as publicly-funded daycare. For older students, those trying to re-open the schools are media-savvy and aware of the “woke” culture enough to focus on minority student athletes: They talk about the athletic scholarships for those poor minority children (since that can’t be ignored, especially once Black Lies Matter gets a hold of it).
THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO COPE WITH THEIR OWN KIDS.
My grandsons’ private school in CA. just got a waiver to reopen on Sept.9th.
They have the ability to teach outside and have no corridors. It’s a very open campus with few students per class. Last year, my one grandson had 5 kids in his statistics class.
I think private schools here in NJ may be getting waivers as well; if they don’t, many will close permanently.
My friend’s grandson goes to Red Bank Catholic. They’re going back and guess whose kid goes there? Murphy.
I think the government understands the different situation between closing its own schools and those of a religious group; as long as stores are open for business it is hard to make the case schools can’t be. The public schools aren’t opening because the teacher’s union dictates that (they like working even shorter days in their pajamas without the commutes); most private schools aren’t unionized.
