The Founders could have easily written that the qualification for eligibility was to be a CITIZEN. But they wrote: "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;
So why didn't they just make the office eligible to citizens? Why did they go to the trouble to write "natural born Citizen"?
Clearly, being a "citizen" alone is not sufficient.

Somebody “out there” with standing to sue Harris and the DNC over Harris’ purported status as a natural born citizen has to actually file a complaint in federal District Court. The result is appealed to the local Circuit Court of Appeals by the party that lost in District Court. Then the party that loses on appeal petitions the Supreme Court, asking it to take up the case. If four justices vote to take up the case, the Supreme Court receives briefs, schedules and conducts oral arguments, and issues a decision.
One or more of Trump/Pence/RNC either have standing to sue over this issue right now, or will have standing to sue in a matter of a few days. Trump’s attorney has already dropped a major hint at Harris’ weakness on the NBC issue. Shall Trump and his team take their cue from you and refrain from suing? What kind of fighting spirit is that?
He was also saying something about how President Trump needs to just shut up about it and how foolish it sounds for him or his people to even mention it in a serious way.

Before any of this natural born stuff has any impact, Biden/Harris have to win the election. If you are concerned they might then perhaps you should spend your time campaigning rather than dwelling on this subject.
That's a dubious statement. They were residents of the United States and suject to the laws of the United States. Neither Jamacia or India had jurisdiction over them while they were living here. Perhaps true in the 18th Century, but not now and probably not true when the 14th Amendment was adopted.
The Royal Navy had the practice of boarding U.S. Navy warships looking for deserters from the Royal Navy. One of the means of identifying such deserters was by accent. They claimed that persons born in Great Britain were subject to the King and therefore subject to the service in the Royal Navy if they were mariners. The United States took the position that these persons were immigrants to the U.S. and no longer subjects of the King. They had the protect of the United States and were subjects of our country. One of the causes of the War of 1812.
So was Kamala Harris subject to the laws of Jamaica and India when she was born in Oakland, especially since her parents never returned to their native countries? This is a losing political, legal, and Consitutional argument. Although, it could be correct. Persons who were born in the United States, but not subject to our jurisdiction would have parents who were diplomats and perhaps foreign military personnel in the United States for training.
Therefore, Harris is a citizen if she was born in the United States.
You can’t just “pass a law”, it’s a CONSTITUTIONAL issue.
Supreme Court can rule or propose and pass a constitutional amendment.
