But the reality is if they have information that sheds light on corruption of a political party, they have a duty to reveal that before an election so the voters can be fully informed.

Not really. What the DOJ are so sensitive about is being perceived as validating and supporting President Trump. Did the DOJ have any such “impacting an election” qualms about the midterms? Of course not. They were just fine with Mueller Coup.
