In the short term, I believe this is another step towards opening the door to fulfilling Luke 14:23 - the final worldwide in-gathering of souls into the Christ’s Kingdom before Jesus comes and the world plunges into seven years of utter terror.
In the longer term, “All of Israel will be saved” and Christ shall rule from Jerusalem, so whatever happens now, Israel will be reconciled to its God and to its land.
