Attorney General William Barr blamed the deepening partisan divide within the public on the political Left, saying that many have wandered from "classical liberal values" and instead are focusing their attention on attacking the country's founding institutions.
"I have the perspective of having been attorney general 30 years ago and now. I thought things were partisan and tough 30 years ago nothing compared to today," Barr said during a conversation with conservative radio and television host Mark Levin that aired Sunday evening. "In the old days, you could have friends across the aisle. Politics was part of your life, but it wasnt all-consuming. It wasnt everything. You could have communications and so forth with others. But its now become all-consuming for many people."
Several studies commissioned in recent months show a widening political divide in the United States, with people expressing deepening disagreements on a bevy of hot-button issues ranging from coronavirus lockdowns to gender issues and police-community relations.
Separately, a recent survey from the Pew Research Center found more people than ever are uncomfortable sharing their political beliefs or voting records openly, a trend more prevalent among conservatives.

This podcast nails that idea precisely ,

I used to have those same thoughts about the previous AG, C’mon man, you can do it, but he never did.im not really wasting anymore time thinking about it with this current one. I think Republicans probably don’t make for good AGs; the Dem ones are corrupt as hell, but they push their agenda no matter how corrupt. Our guys won’t even just uphold the law.......unless its another Republican.
I thought that Eric Voeglin was the first to say that.
Civilized folks set the table first...same goes for those in the Justice System...
Q has already successfully run out the clock on behalf of whomever he/she/they really work for.
No indictments, no arrests, no nothing. Any crooks like say, Brennan brought up on charges now would be spun as political prosecution. Only a mythical prosecutor named Durham who has hired all Democrats to work for him, if he exists.
"Oh yeah, well you just wait, you'll see... soon, really really really soon, we really mean it this time..."
What he's really saying between the lines is that HE'S not going to be the one to prosecute those same crooked politicians, because THAT would be the same weaponizing of government against HIS administration's political enemies.
Bet on it, Barr ain't doing jack. He just wants to go back to the days when everybody went along to get along, just like Reagan and Tip O'Neil (sp?), wasn't he a cool guy?
We're on our own here, and people would do well to not place any faith in the LARP run by some very clever people, intended to just keep people ensnared in false hope that the Cavalry, led by Bill Barr and some photograph, a caricature called John Durham, will indeed show up just in the nick of time.
Frankly Graham is right, only God can fix it.
Time to start accepting the truth that all things will play out according to his will, and not our desires.
Social justice jihadis, holy warriors for Mad Mommy Earth and sacred social justice
He seems to have originated it, but Buckley popularized it.
If you listen closely, you’ll hear Barr complain about politicians weaponizing government to use against their opponents as a vehicle of political prosecution.

Great post. Agree 100%. Barr is running all the big issues up so close to the election that he can plausibly wash his hands of them and punt past election day. We need lions and we got lambs like Bill Barr.
BTW "Frankly" s/b "Franklin", although "Frankly" does kinda work.
