While the right backs Trump’s stand for law and order, the ultimate battle here may be between liberal Democrats elected to, and failing to, run the cities, and the radical left and Marxists who welcome their failure as they intend to kick the liberals down the stairs.

I work with people on the political Left. Although they are not participants in any of the violence, their downplay, excuse-making, and apologetics for the violence make them little different in philosophy from Antifa. It’s a sobering thought that the people I work with (and am congenial toward) could easily become my enemies in a conflict.
We should thank Seattle for being a laboratory for the study of how to run a society.
Wheeler doesn’t care if buildings are set on fire or if people are killed—he only cares that public images of what is happening might help Trump get re-elected.
