When I was a kid, we went to the Loop for Christmas every year.
We would visit Santa at Marshall Fields. They had a whole floor with kid’s toys. (Pre-Toys R Us.) 1000 island dressing to die for.
Did you just love Marshall Field’s or what? It always seemed so gloriously grand to me.
I love looking at old pics online. Fortunately, there are plenty of them.
