I do not like the long term liability being added to, here, but, what choice does Trump have?

I am having a hard time with the mechanics of the deferred taxes. Gigantic tax payment at end of year? A business or person would still have to budget for the expense. Some people do not have that kind of discipline.
It would have been more fun for him to totally abolish feral withholding, but that is not going to happen.

Under the Executive Order that's what would happen. I think Trump is banking on Congress not willing to have voters take a big financial hit having to pay them back but I think he is badly mistaken in that. If the Democrats can blame the tax bill on Trump then they'll do that in a New York minute.

It would have been more fun for him to totally abolish feral withholding, but that is not going to happen.

He said in the press conference that his plan for his second term is to reduce or eliminate the tax entirely. But doing away with Social Security and Medicare is not something the House and Senate are dumb enough to sign on to. Trump may never have another election but they do. And seniors vote.
