To: Olog-hai

It’s one thing to validly point out what a RINO Bush was as POTUS, but to even imply (whether accidentally or not) that voting for his opposition is in any way viable is simply not itself valid.


I voted for Bush. The question, though, is the country in a better place now having elected him? I think the answer to that is unquestionably no. Had we elected Gore or Kerry we’d be in almost exactly the same situation right now becasue on policy there just wasn’t much difference between Bush and the Democrats.

Yeah, I used to ask God every day why Obama was president and thank him that McCain wasn't.

Probably the greatest damage Bush did was making Republicans almost unelectable. McCain's decisions would have been as bad for the US as Obama's, but Republicans would have gotten the blame.

Since we had eight years of Obama that followed Bush, the point is kind of moot.

Frankly, Gore and/or Kerry would indeed have pushed the country further left than Bush, especially if they had the aid of a Congress such as the 110th, the worst of which Bush actually did veto.
