“ Indian immigrants vote about 2:1 Democrat”

Yeah, but companies that want the cheap labor pay Republican office holders every bit as much as they do Democrats.

Multi-millionaires overnight...

Re: “Indian immigrants vote about 2:1 Democrat”

Much worse than that.

Asian Indian citizens voted 80% to reelect Obama in 2012.

In 2016, 77% of Asian Indian citizens voted for Hillary Clinton.

The Seattle City Council has an elected Asian Indian female who belongs to the Socialist Party.

40% of my Congressional District, in the heart of Microsoft country, is foreign born.

In the 2018 midterm election, the Socialist candidate for Congress got 30% of the vote against the incumbent Democrat!

In the 2018 "jungle" primary, the Washington State Republican Party did not even bother to run an official candidate in my District because we do not have enough voters to even come in second place!

It’s probably why he was so anti-Trump in 2016.

Many of those Indians work in IT, both spouses together earn hundreds of thousands.

They live well above middle class status (and would be considered very wealthy in India), yet they overwhelmingly continue to vote for the rat candidate who wishes to punish the wealthy like them.

It really is sickening.

Is there some mask we can get newly elected Republicans to wear to prevent Potomac Fever?

They all seem to be infected. Some just take longer than others.

Why do Indian-American vote against their economic self interest? Answer - They’ve bought heavily into the idea that the Rat party is the party of the immigrant ! ( Possibly true in earlier decades - 100 years ! ) Additionally many other Asian Americans accept this idea also. Again not all and it varies in percentages by Asian ethnic group. Many are convinced that Republicans are all WASP fundamentalist Christians & racists who look down on their culture and if they’re still practicing, look down on their native religions. It isn’t reality but enough feel that way to keep refreshing the false notion that the Rat party is the party of the “little guy”. Another perhaps more fundamental problem is Asian culture rests on a communal approach not an individual approach to solving the problems of life. (Note I think 50% of that idea is BS ! Look at all the Asian millionaire & billionaires!) Note this is not in any way a scientific survey but the above are explanations I have heard multiple times from political & apolitical Asian friends.
