McVeigh’s OKC truck bomb used 13 drums of anfo, approx. 7,000lbs.............massive damage.
Too bad Lebanon didn’t have an OSHA operation.
They could have mandated “No Smoking” signs in the warehouse.
So we can attribute the cause of the explosion to a careless butt.
I have several years of experience with the intelligence community. The entire community, regardless of country, will not hesitate to preempt a strike based on the risk analysis. If the agency believes that there is an imminent attack against their interests, they will seek to end the threat.
This post has just a slightly different headline than the original. This on is missing a “near” in it. But you are correct, the site Netanyhu is talking about is about 4.5 miles to the Southwest.
Interesting, thanks!
We used ANFO when I was a miner on big tunnel projects...I always double primed my lifters and rib holes because ANFO-filled holes were harder to ignite than holes filled with tamped 65% Hercules dynamite, or "powder" as it is referred to. We had ANFO tanks on the powder car and the "prill" was blown into the drill holes under compressed air pressure.
It would really pull the round; but, couldn't be used if we were in a lot of water.
Brings back a lot of great memories.
And let us not forget the genius, Susan Rice...lots of intelligence in that community.
