A series of videos captured the devastation in Beirut as an explosion tore through the Lebanese capital - killing at least 100 people dead and injuring more than 4,000.
Footage from across the blast site filmed the apocalyptic scenes yesterday which saw ceilings collapse, families shelter for cover, offices ripped apart and buildings engulfed in flames.
It is thought the explosion was triggered by more than 2,750 tons of highly explosive ammonium nitrate - the main ingredient in fertilizer bombs.

...because the actual site of the explosion is off the upper right corner of the image.
Not all the available news shots were top quality, but, I'll try to find one or two that tell the actual story.
BTW, 240 tons seems off by a factor of ten (10). The main AN bin held 20 tons, and there was an open bin in a shed that held a ton or two. In the wiki photo, you can see scouring where that bin exploded. My analysis (vertically-sheared rails, etc.) indicates that there probably also was a loaded semi parked atop the rail spur, over the input dump hopper -- but, no one in West will admit that was so.
I discovered that much of my West (TX) work was on a backup drive that now won't spin up -- so, I'm creating a few new graphics on my analysis of the West AN explosion.
So -- there is a bit of "stuff" for you to loo ok forward to...
Later..
