Former national security adviser Susan Rice tells NPR she's "honored and humbled" to be on Joe Biden's shortlist for vice president and that her lengthy tenure in the executive branch would make her an effective No. 2.
"I think I could bring my experience of almost now 20 years in the senior levels of the executive branch to bear to help tackle the most pressing problems we face," she told Morning Edition's Steve Inskeep in an interview that aired Tuesday.

“Susan Rice doesn’t strike me as any sort of “charismatic” politician. So you wonder how many voters she would inspire to vote Democrat. She’s never held elective office. She’s probably never run for any office because she’s not a natural politician, she’s a bureaucrat.
Then there’s the whole Benghazi thing, where they trotted her out to lie to us about Benghazi. That’s sure to be talked about a lot if she’s the VP nominee.”
do you really think any of what you said might affect the likelihood that a black person would now vote for Trump vs. the chance to vote for a black woman for president?
correction: to vote for a black woman as V.P, who would be inline to become president.
Will black voters be excited about a black woman VP candidate? I can’t say. We do know that black women can be expected to vote 95%+ Democrat no matter who is on the ticket. So the incremental increase in the vote of black women for a Democrat ticket with a woman VP nominee would be minimal.
Black men are key to the overall black vote. Some polls suggest Trump has gained quite a bit of support of black men. Would black men who like Trump now decide to vote Democrat just because of Susan Rice? That is the question.
Black men don’t give a shit about Susan Rice mark my words, if black men have a choice they date or marry white women!!
