I sympathize with her. My wife works at the hospital close by where we live in Monmouth County, NJ. She's a heart monitor technician and she has asthma. She has to wear the damn thing for 12 hours and it's torture for her. Her face is getting terribly chapped. I can tell you between my hospital and the one my wife works everybody, from doctors right on down to mop jockeys like me have HAD IT with the bloody things. Their just a royal pain in the butt. I work for a different hospital in southern NJ, in Ocean Country. I'm 64 with a heart condition and a pacemaker. I have to wear the thing with my nose exposed or I'm suffocating.

Matter of fact I was doing my shift in the ER last night and dang if at one point by blood pressure shot way up. One of the nurses looked at me and said, “Whoa, get on the stretcher, you don't look good. Wind up was I wasn't. Spent the night in the hospital, the doctors and staff fixed me up. just need a different medication, cut down of the coffee and red meat(all the fun stuff) and they discharged me today. Good to still be on two feet and breathing..
