No one has mentioned Oak Ridge yet. That little deal needed a tremendous amount of electricity.

Living in the Tennessee Valley, we enjoy electric rates lower than 70 percent of the country.

Good info. That probably explains the high salary of the fired chairman then. Thanks.

“How did a government worker ever get a salary of 8 million????”

That’s not on any federal pay scale that I’m aware of.

We’re waiting for electricity that actually works. All if takes for ours to go off is for the wind to blow.

You need to talk to you power distributor...I’ve lived in East Tennessee for 71 years and the only power problem we have is when the snow causes lines to go down or transformers to go out...

I’m extremely rural and that could have something to do with it. The local office is great to get it back one when it goes off but it goes off SO much. They trim trees back but not far enough most times so a lot of trees fall on them. It goes off most when the wind blows really hard though. Can’t figure that one out.

Sounds like wind blows bigger tree limbs onto the lines and might short them out...Does the power stay off very long when this happens???

I’ve lived pretty rural myself...(Townsend and Greenback)

PG&E is a private company. TVA is a federal government (=socialist) enterprise. It’s a different situation.
