For the third month this year, the FBI reported record-shattering gun sales background checks, the latest indication that the 2020 election, concerns about the coronavirus crisis, and race protests are pushing gun purchases to a historic high.
On the heels of the 3,931,607 background checks in June, the most ever in the 14-year history of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, the FBI on Monday said that July checks totaled 3,639,224, the third-highest monthly total ever. March saw the second-highest ever at 3,740,688.
Overall, the FBI has conducted 22,819,271 background checks this year, nearly 44% over last year, when checks through July totaled 15,890,359.

I don't understand what that means and I don't think I want to know.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go shopping because the latest HK catalog just arrived.
Bud’s Gun Shops is one of the largest gun sellers in America and they are sold out of most popular guns.
I would think Bud’s sells far more guns online than Brownells because they sell much cheaper.
Excellent point!
I know a shop owner in a heavy vacation cabin area.
Seems .22s are very popular. Ruger take down, 10/22, Marlins and others.
I thought perhaps people had hunting for small game in mind if things got tough or stores empty in April/May.
Then the riots and the guns have changed. So buying based on events?
Thanks. In Cali now, moving to Tennessee probably next year.
funny! I am waiting for a UMP H&K shorty that is in the ATF jail right now. Hoping it gets here before Nov
MFO
If someone asks how many guns you own and you truthfully answer “I don’t know” then you probably have just about enough... unless the majority of them were lost in the mythological boating accident, of course.
I have a Glock 37 for sale.....looks brand new.
Somewhere there is a lake, at the bottom of which is a literal mountain of firearms just waiting to be salvaged. Should the site of all the boating accidents every be discovered, the cache unearthed will exceed the carry capacity of every man, woman, and child in North and South America combined.
It’s wearing me out.
Doesn’t everybody have a gun by now?
Shouldn’t people requesting background checks for new purchases be provided a voter registration card and instructions how to vote Republican? Just like dems do at dmv?
They’re lying, magnet fishing hasn’t produced anywhere near the claimed losses.
I don’t hand out voter registrations, but I do ask them if they are registered and tell them if they vote Democrat they won’t be able to buy any more guns.
Probably has three magazines in the box instead of two.
Colored pistols do cost more. Different colors cost more than other colors.
Rifles and shotguns are more expensive in different colo/camo patterns
The ring around the black Glock is what was a different color, it’s the same black gun in both pictures, one has a sku of UG2150203 and the other a sku of PG2150203. Pretty sure it’s number of magazines.
You are correct though, the Robin’s Egg Blue Glock does cost more.
Yes!! LOL
It would be too embarrassing to say not.
Maybe I can find the address of the FBI office in charge of this so I can notify them and demand my right to representation...
OTOH, since most of these guns, mags, ammo, etc have been re-distributed to lots of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, maybe I'll have to ask for them all back to make sure the FBI has a valid record of them...
Snicker...
