Fauci will not. Only President Trump (or his Press Secretary) might say something like that. Rand Paul is acting like someone who wants to be relevant in the coming years. That’s a good thing.

Rand Paul is very relevant now.
And he has both suffered from and treated coronavirus patients, which is a heck of a lot more than I can say about Fauci.
I'd say Dr Rand Paul knows a heck of a lot more about coronavirus than Fauci the garden gnome does.
