It is not most places. Anyway, why would anyone want to work at a place that wants average? In my previous businesses I demanded excellence. If someone didn't want to rise to that level they where shown the door. It's business. It's not charity. Businessmen invest their life savings and lives into the their businesses. Basically, if you eff with my capital, you are gone. On the other hand, if you excel and make big profits you get rewarded, as in bonuses. One of the things I always took pride in was people leaving my employ to pursue a business on their own. They took personal responsibility for their futures. They took risk. That's American. Average is not.
We’re talking about large corporations.
Your lack of empathy for hard working employees in corporations that long ago left Ford’s and Carnegie’s ethics behind.
” why would anyone want to work at a place that wants average” . How arrogant and elitist..sometimes people have to work at places they may not want to for their families for food on their table for other limitations on them.most corporations do not offer bonuses.Oh yeah they should ,but many businesses do not offer bonuses and do not appreciate the “excellance”.
” if you make big profits you get rewarded”. I’ve worked in sales also for many years where the employee is rewarded directly for their efforts and excellence.
Wow are you out of touch with the majority of employees that do not work where their work directly impacts profits such as sales or other commission work or a smaller business where employees can be rewarded directly.
Many Americans work very hard and work very excellently and yet do not receive a portion of the profits of the organization for the work that they do. I do not blame them for staying where they are because I don’t know their personal situation and I certainly don’t shame them that it is their fault if they are not more successful or for whatever reason cannot move into another occupation or job.
