It is looked down on, but still pretty widespread, like prostitution and strip clubs in our society.

When the Taliban were on the rise, one of the issues that made them popular was their preaching against this practice. They would expose and punish perpetrators.

Of course, once they were in positions of power and wealth, many of them also had little chai boys in their offices, as perks.

Pederasty is disturbingly widespread over there.

As other Freepers have pointed out, those abused boys grow up, and then populate many offices in society. They are damaged goods psychologically, and often perpetrate new cycles of abuse themselves.

This is not new. It’s been allowed to take place on our military posts. Our guys are told by their COs to ignore it. No wonder they come back so effed up.
