People forget that “War makes strange bedfellows.” So you can have various factions with radically different philosophies who believe the only way for their version of Utopia to advance is the destruction of the current social order and government.
So if that means an uneasy alliance and taking advantage of a situation that is contradictory to your own goals such as rioting at the death of Black man in hopes it will lead to some Charlie Manson type race war fantasy-so be it. Whatever road leads to unrest, government failings, and the rise of the ISM of the day is the road these people will take.

I see what you are saying, but this MC is more corporate now. They have an image and money making ventures that require that image. Also, they are a lot more careful in what they partake in.
