I saw a video, EARLY on, about Hydroxychloroquine between the foremost experts on lupus. NONE of the 4 experts had EVER had ANY serious side effects from the drug in over 40 years!
I have seen NOTHING since then that disproves their statements.
They were not advocating for Hydroxychloroquine for COVID patients as much as worried about shortages for their lupus and rheumatoid arthritis patients.
All the hype that it is “DANGEROUS” is total BULLSHIRT!
It is no more dangerous than aspirin.
Taking too much aspirin improperly for too long will cause gastric bleeding and ulcers, which is dangerous for the old and frail. No drug is without risks, and HCQ has been politicized so much that now a safe discussion of how to take is is difficult. People like you will encourage some people to take it like candy, which unfortunately is what prevents it from being non-prescription.
