President Trumps reelection campaign has halted new ad buys in Michigan in recent days as polling shows former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, with a widening lead in the state.
Trumps recent withdrawal from the airwaves in Michigan came as his campaign shifted advertising dollars to other battlegrounds like Iowa. The move was first reported on Wednesday by The New York Times. According to....
A spokesperson for the Trump campaign pointed out that the president still has massive amounts of airtime reserved in Michigan and remains confident in his prospects there. Indeed, the campaign has $11.4 million in television ads reserved beginning in September, and national buys mean that some of the presidents ads will still air in the state.

I agree. Plus the PACs will pick up the slack for the campaign.
That’s a good point. He isn’t technically the nominee yet anyway, but if they thought he didn’t at least have a shot at winning they would swap him out. Though they do love him, because they can control him and force their own agenda on him and run it behind his back.
It’s been said before, but voting for Biden is voting for his veep. And there is an opportunity to weave the middle there... ignore his #2 for the most part and hammer on Biden. He will have to either concede that he’s an empty suit standing in for someone else, or stand and defend his record as a leader. Neither a good choice for him.
And if Kamala is his #2, she’s got a few blind spots of her own to deal with.
Your point is a good one. Trump will win big or lose big in Mi. I sometimes listen to a black talk radio show out of Detroit. It is amusing to hear how conflicted they are about James. The rat Senator he running against is white male who started as a rep in a affluent white district
“So, they still have ads running.”
That’s why it’s fake news.
LOL!! Then again, better than CNN.
Yeah I almost followed that guy on Twitter. But he hasnt (if I am wrong correct me) EVER detailed how, where, who he gets info from.
Evidently I must have followed him a long time ago and this was the first time I ever seen a tweet from him. Normally I only follow Conservative Republicans with that account. I did read the comments on that particular post and he seems to have credibility and explained a little on how he got the info. That’s all I know.
I look at the results more for hope. I would be willing to bet that his polling results are at least as good as the major network polling results of 2016. Something has been telling me that Trump very well could win BIG.
That said, I will remain cautiously encouraged and hope for the best but expect the worst and the worst is - The polls with Biden ahead by double digits is true and we have a lot of work to do and very little time to do it. I always feel it’s much safer to work as if our side is 20 points behind (even though it’s likely not true).
The further behind we think we are, the harder we will work and the BIGGER our win will be in November.
Things I have noticed (on Facebook and Twitter) this election cycle. Many more black American Trump supporters. And I think these black Trump supporters are increasing by the day since the riots.
I also think independents and moderates and moderate democrat voters could possibly be voting for Trump and that’s ONLY because of the Defund Police and the Riots.
Democrats are managing to make Covid-19 second in the news and their riots (that most people now know is democrat encouraged) is top story. This top story is blowing up in their faces. Again, they are jumping the shark. They always do.
It will be helpful if we get this Covid-19 under control and get the economy in all 50 states open again.
I think the dems are using these riots for two purposes. ONE is to make Americans feel unsafe to go out and vote in November. The original reason for feeling unsafe was Covid-19. That’s when dems started talking about mail-in voting. Then Covid-19 started to appear to be weakening. Suddenly the riots started.
Also, TWO - be prepared for the possibility that these riots are designed to go on thru election day where BLM/ANTIFA will replace the Black Panthers and they may be planning blocking streets and voter intimidation in Conservative / Republican leaning districts. And PLEASE do NOT tell me it will never happen because the Feds will not allow that to happen.
Come up with better ads. His ads speak to his base, not undecideds. His base is solid.
What worked before isnt going to work again. He has to change his tactics to meet the new challenges.
Serious. Look it up.
That would be a very bad move, if true. The only thing that counts is win or lose. Trump must try for a win, not a narrow loss. Contest every state that Trump won or lost by less than 5% in 2016, no matter what.
On a street not far away, there are six or seven houses with “Black Lives Matter” yard signs (dark red, professionally produced, picture of George Floyd on them) and only one “Biden 2020” yard sign.
How can Trump reach out to these people?
“Not good.”
IT IS JULY - no campaign writes off states based on July polling, particularly after winning it last time.
Total FAKE NEWS - in fact, I suspect they’re instead trying to smoke out leakers.
Articles like this are why.
Here we go with your nonsense again! Didn’t you pull this same ‘not good’ nonsense in 2016? Biden’s lead isn’t expanding anywhere and the campaigns haven’t even started yet. They are probably waiting to use the ads closer to the election rather then waste their money so early. Save your ‘not good’ nonsense.
