Bill Gates has shot down a conspiracy theory that he wants a mass coronavirus vaccine developed so he can use it to plant microchips in people.
The billionaire made the remarks in a Wednesday interview with "CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell," where he was asked about the coronavirus pandemic and vaccine development, as well as the unsubstantiated theory about Gates' motive for wanting a vaccine.
Noting that conspiracy theories have spread about Gates during the pandemic, O'Donnell said: "The posts on social media about you and coronavirus are considered the most widespread coronavirus falsehoods that exist."
She asked: "To be clear, do you want a vaccine so that you can implant microchips into people?"
Gates shook his head and responded: "No. There's no connection between any of these vaccines and any tracking type thing at all. I don't know where that came from."

Here's what Gates is on record as wanting: a mandatory "vaccine" coupled with a national tracking system that states that you got the vaccine. Gates also recently said it would be "multiple vaccines" and doses.

Through his "Trust Stamp" and ID2020, you are then tracked. "Trust Stamp" also has a monetary blockchain-like function built in, with the cooperation of MasterCard and other financial institutions.
So he isn't calling for "implanting microchips." Just calling for the "vaccine", followed by mandatory tracking, and eventually without that tracking and vaccine, you won't be able to travel, hold a job, or buy or sell.
But not "implanting of microchips" - so his lie is OK. It depends on what the meaning of "Is" is.
What I find “ironic” is the fact that the man who gave the world Windows has been put in charge of viruses.

How does Gates explain his comments on video claiming that we needed to reduce overpopulation & vaccines would help?
How is he explaining that the vaccine he was providing to India caused so much morbidity & mortality that India withdrew from the partnership? There is similarly a trail of death & destruction to see in Africa. Gates has no credibility left in my book.
Ask somebody in India what they think of Gates and his vaccines.

He's denying allegations. Using the words "shot down" indicates he proved it wrong. Calling it a "conspiracy theory" implies he didn't come right out and say it and get called on it.

Why was John D. Rockefeller involved in medical research and colleges and universities? Why was Andrew Carnegie involved in building schools and libraries?
A lot of wealthy men get to a point where they’ve amassed more wealth than they could possibly spend on anything they could ever want for themselves and decide that the best way to establish a legacy that plants their names in the history books is to use their wealth on causes they believe in. Gates doesn’t make money on vaccines. The Gates Foundation does not make money on vaccines. Their SEC filings show this. What do they do? When somebody has research that looks good but isn’t getting funding from other sources, they step in and provide that funding in the form of grants. Not loans. Not stock options. Grants.
Gates also gives tons of money away for things like education (over $2 Billion in scholarships), malaria prevention (e.g. mosquito nets), increasing farming productivity in rural Africa, and so on. But you never hear people complain about Gates buying mosquito nets for people because that’s not their real issue. In fact, Bill Gates isn’t their real issue.
So why all the anti-Gates propaganda? It’s the anti-vaxxer crowd looking to establish a Boogieman. They don’t like vaccines because they think it’s healthier to get polio and smallpox and die than it is to get vaccinated against them. But that doesn’t sell well because most people understand that’s ludicrous. So instead they claim Bill Gates is some evil mastermind and tie all sorts of conspiracy theories to him about how he’s going to use vaccines to track people or sterilize them or kill them or mind control them (whatever nonsense you can imagine). Bill Gates gives a lot of money away to researchers developing vaccines against diseases that kill lots of people. If vaccines are all bad, then Gates must be really bad. So instead of “Orange man bad!”, we get “Windows man bad!”

So since one part of the story is not plausible, we are not supposed to look at the vaccine industry that he runs, mostly by buying the science he wants.
