In the 1870s and 80, rustlers infested Montana and western North Dakota. Law enforcement was unable to cope. Vigilance Committees took up the matter and brought the horse and cattle rustling to a screeching halt over a period of 2 to 3 years. A bunch of outlaws decorated trees and the recidivism rate was zero.
That does not surprise me and a good story!
These street thugs have no idea what a patriot protecting his family, country and home can and will do to thugs!
