Everything seemed fine as Robert Smith visited his in-laws outside Hermiston. But about 15 minutes later, after hed returned to his home just up the road, his wife received the call from her mother. . . .
They arrived to see an ambulance already parked in the driveway. Edward Griggs, 83, was being treated for a heart attack. About 18 minutes later, Griggs was dead. . . .
Officials on the scene asked if Griggs had shown any symptoms of the coronavirus. Their answer was no, but it was difficult to be sure.
Smith requested a post-mortem test to ensure his family wasnt at risk of infection. His wife was undergoing chemotherapy, and he worried that if the test was positive, her treatment might be put on hold. The following day, July 4, the test came back positive. Soon after, the Oregon Health Authority declared Griggs the states 226th victim of the coronavirus.

RW Reagan: when the government tells you you’re depressed, lie down and be depressed.
Just posting for a friend.....
There we have it. An admission from an official state spokesman that they are lying about coronavirus figures. I say lying, because the daily release from the Governors office always says "The states death toll from COVID-19....".
If Trump hadn’t been elected president none of this would have been necessary.
It has even driven a large number of Freepers around the bend.
More proof there was no Pandemic.
With all the false positives and outright fraudulent claims of positive results when no sample was even given to test.. I highly doubt there are any Asymptomatic cases. What a ridiculous joke.. It’s all a Freakin’ Leftist LIE to grab total power and control!!
We're about at the point where if you die in a city where someone has been sick from coronovirus any death will be attributed to COVID-19.
What this demonstrates is the level of laziness and incompetence at all levels of government. We are infested with actually stupid people presuming to make decisions based on knowingly bad data.
In the era of big data, there is no hurdle to collecting and separating the “from Covid” and the “with Covid” data points and reporting both.
The “with Covid” is an interesting and useful data point, but it is red herring for making risk based decisions. It simply creates a wider gap between predictions and reality.
The longer our alleged public servants try to operate from predictions instead of reality, the harder the backlash is going to be.
Reality has a way of bitch slapping the people who ignore it.
