AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department officially launched an investigation into the driver of the Jeep that drove through a crowd of protesters at a demonstration demanding justice for Elijah McClain on Saturday. They are also trying to identify the shooter or shooters that fired shots striking two people.
According to APD, after driving through the crowd of protesters, the driver pulled over at East 6th Avenue and Billings Street. He located officers who were investigating a separate, unrelated crash at that location. The driver was positively identified, questioned, and the Jeep was impounded for evidentiary purposes.
APD says that preliminary interviews with the Jeep driver indicate he was scared and drove through the crowd after protesters surrounded his vehicle, striking it and yelling. He claims a white pickup struck the front of his vehicle.

We will be working with our District Attorney to discuss appropriate charges for the driver as well as working tirelessly to identify the shooter(s) on the interstate.

This type of incident has happened in several instances in multiple states. All based on fear and an instinct to escape harm. Not sure my reaction would be different.

If the Aurora cops refuse to enforce local laws, then THEY are part of the rioting mob.

Uh, the driver was trying to go from point A to point B, using the interstate. There should be no pedestrians on the interstate.

Pretty sure it is a Federal law to not walk on Interstates or block them, so police are abetting a crime by allowing it.

Surprised it wasn’t a woman of COLOR like the rest of the police chiefs or mayors seem to be in these turd world cities. I’m guessing this is a 100% LGBTQWERTY “thing” that may not even identify as a woman.

Localities that allow blocking of the interstate should be prosecuted by the feds.
