At least one person was shot in downtown Austin on Saturday night in the midst of a protest, and medics are searching for additional victims, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
The shooting happened around 9:50 p.m. at Sixth Street and Congress Avenue, and the public should avoid the area, EMS officials said. Callers reported that multiple people were injured, EMS officials said.
The person who was shot has life-threatening injuries, and medics have taken that person to the hospital, EMS officials said.
A protester, who filmed the scene via Facebook Live, said someone charged into the crowd and shot some of the protesters.
Austin police officials said they will update the public in the near future.

Sounded like 2 different guns firing, first 5 shots sound like a rifle, last 3 sound like a pistol.
Apparently Garrett fired five (5) shots (the larger caliber sound) from the AK (and missed), then the other fella shot him with a pistol (three lesser shots).
If that is the case...then Antifa has fired the first rounds in CW2...we didn’t shoot first!

The protester was on video before this happen being interviewed with his rifle. Same protester fired 5 rounds before the individual in the car pulled a pistol and shot the protester. The individual in the car fired 3 shot’s with a pistol. The protesters are on video surrounding the car, you hear 5 shots from an AK and then 3 shots from a pistol. My AK is taking a dirt nap.
This is what these people want. They want to fight. He got what he wanted.
That’s what I heard. The first 5 rounds were definitely a rifle. The subsequent 3 were almost certainly a pistol.

Texas doesn’t register rifles, but purchaser/serial number is recorded when a transfer is made by an FFL to the original purchaser of any subsequent transfers through an FFL.

If Trump wins (please God!) there will be an instant eruption in many cities that will make these ‘protests’ look like a children’s tea party. The goal will be to force the president to come down very strong, whatever it takes to restore the peace, and the Dems and media will then scream Hitler. We’re in for some hellish times but we must endure.
At some point the tide will turn and this scourge will be put behind us. The backlash as people realize what the left has done will be immense and could even spell the end of the Democrat Party. God is good, infinitely good, and we must continue to place our trust in Him, totally. We are not asked to understand everything, only to trust.
