87 protesters arrested during demonstration at AG Daniel Cameron's east Louisville home

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police said 87 people were arrested during a demonstration at the home of Kentucky's attorney general.

Protesters with the social justice organization Until Freedom gathered for a sit-in on the front lawn of the St. Matthews area home owned by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

...

The group said the demonstration was not a protest or rally, but a call to action seeking justice in the shooting death of Taylor at the hands of LMPD officers. Some of the protesters came to Louisville from as far away as New York and Atlanta.

"We know what it is like trying to get accountability from a police force that has 39,000 officers. What better way can we stand in solidarity than come out here and make sure we're supporting our brothers and sisters and how to non-violently demand justice," Charlene Pinto said.

...

In a statement Wednesday, LMPD spokeswoman Jessie Halladay said officers at Cameron's house made the decision to issue felony charges against the protesters in part because of demonstrators "chanting that if they didn’t get what they want they would burn it down."

"That was deemed an attempt to intimidate, persuade or influence the Attorney General’s decision," Halladay said in the statement.

Among those arrested was "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams, 39. She was booked at Metro Corrections and is facing the same charges given to all other protesters. Williams was set to appear in arraignment court Wednesday morning, according to a booking report.

She may have been referring to NYC. Is she one who traveled from NYC to demonstrate?

3 Jul: Vice: The Sunrise Movement Is Pointing Fingers at Progressives After 2 Big Primary Losses
“The truth is, these races were ours for the taking, and progressives blew it.”
by Geoff Dembicki
Many climate activists were sorely disappointed this week when Green New Deal advocates in Kentucky and Colorado failed to win their primaries against moderates favored by the Democratic establishment. And now one prominent climate group is blaming the entire progressive movement for the losses...
Charles Booker lost by less than three points to Amy McGrath in Kentucky, and Andrew Romanoff missed by a wider margin in Colorado to John Hickenlooper, the state’s former governor...

Booker was an aggressive proponent of a Green New Deal stimulus plan that could transform Appalachia’s declining coal economy, whereas McGrath has called the sweeping climate vision championed by people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “more of a theory than an idea.”...

"None of this stuff is spontaneous - it is all well funded and organized from afar."

This communist/Marxist revolution has been 140-years in the making and planning...
Excellent strategic planning...
Excellent patience...
Excellent implementation...
Excellent tactics...
Excellent final execution...

That is why they are winning so handily... So far no thing, no organization, or no person has begun any effective "push-back"...

So many times, since 1906, we were specifically warned... So many times we yawned and returned to peacefully grazing...

Now the fiddler has to be paid and the price will be horrendous...

I don’t think “winning” is quite the right word. Although they’re pretty much unopposed by Democrat Governors and Mayors as they run amuck burning, looting, and assaulting police and non-demonstrators, we need to keep in mind that nationwide they represent only a miniscule percentage of our nation’s population. In my view, a much more dangerous threat to our Constitutional Republic is the currently professed agenda of the Democrat Party should they gain control of our Federal Government in November.

“Hang her.”

That seems a bit extreme. Actually, all people (and especially conservatives) should demand justice for what happened to that woman and her boyfriend. If justice doesn’t take its course and someone doesn’t go TO JAIL at the end of the process, I might be out there with them too. We shall see if the wheels of justice still grind slow, but exceedingly fine.

I’d say that just a good tune-up would help in explaining to Ms.Williams that patience is a virtue. And, we as a society can’t have mobs threatening the homes of politicians. I’d feel the same way if Pelosi’s estate was mobbed. No decent family person would want to go into public service. If you think that we have crap politicians now...

A peaceful protest is legal on public sidewalks, public property and some roads but not if it blocks emergency vehicles or unduly blocks traffic. Protests on private property are not legal unless the owner agrees.

another example of Sunrise Movement “visiting” homes. originally in “climate” website E&E News:

21 Jul: Progressive Party USA: More than warming. How a climate group became diverse
(This Piece Originally Appeared in www.eenews.net byAvery Ellfeldt, E&E News reporter)
Activists with the Sunrise Movement joined with other protesters in a recent campaign to convince Washington officials to slash the city’s police budget.

It was a swampy evening when masked demonstrators gathered outside the home of a city lawmaker in Washington and demanded that he help slash the police budget.

Leading the way were activists with an unexpected affiliation: the Sunrise Movement, the youth-led climate organization that’s credited with catapulting the Green New Deal into the national spotlight.
At first, the protest against police brutality might seem off-point for an organization whose goal is to address climate change through a massive jobs program.
Yet a mission for justice — both climate and otherwise — has been a touchstone for Sunrise since day one, organizers said. It’s a characteristic they credit in part with catalyzing the group’s dramatic growth — and political success — over the last three years.

The protest outside the home of D.C. Council member Charles Allen exemplified that...
“Sunrise sees climate change as a vehicle to demand more, a vehicle to demand something fundamentally better,” said Sean Haskett, a D.C.-based organizer. “I think it is unique. It’s the only reason I joined.”...
Over the last three years, Sunrise activists have launched more than 380 local “hubs” in all 50 states...

The Rev. Lennox Yearwood, founder and president of the Hip Hop Caucus, said the same. But he also noted that the mainstream environmental movement has long been a “toxic place for Black people and people of color.”
So when it comes to newer, youth-led organizations that proactively center on different voices, “you see what a movement would look like if it would even begin to have more diversity and equity,” Yearwood added.
Haskett, of the D.C. hub, agreed. While the local chapter has seen robust growth since the start, there’s been an “explosion” of interest in recent months. He associated the spike with the protests that began after Minneapolis police officers killed George Floyd, a Black man, on May 25...

“Why not Portia?”

Well, I admit it could be a misspelling of Portia, or some variant of Portia I have never run across. But I had ruled that out based upon the assumption that it would be “acting white” to name their girl “Portia”. It would be more likely that they would name her after a German car than a female cracker.
