It is not an opinion. The headline of the post is misleading and trust me, I have been following this issue for years.

This has nothing to do with who votes and does not vote in elections. This issue is whether or not to include illegal aliens in the apportionment for the US House of Representatives. To date, the US has always included illegal aliens in the apportionment for the US House of Representatives.

The first census in which it was noticed that illegal aliens were skewing the apportionment was in 1980 and it was minor but noticeable.

I suspected the reason Trump wanted the citizenship question on the census was to exclude illegal aliens in the apportionment, but as you know, the Supreme Court ruled against him.

I read just several weeks ago that Trump has asked the government using other stats to determine the illegal population in every state.

This will obviously go to the Supreme Court and I anticipate that Trump will lose this one, too.

But at least he's trying.

And no it's not silly and no, it has nothing to do with allowing or not allowing illegal aliens to vote as many people incorrectly assumed due to the headline.

Illegal aliens can't vote in federal elections - there is no question about it and the issue is black and white. There are some local jurisdictions that allow illegal aliens or any non citizen to vote in local elections and the Constitution is silent on it, so it is allowed. Those cities must keep two sets of registrations - one for federal and state elections and one for local elections.

This issue has nothing to do with non citizens voting in federal elections but whether non citizens should be included when determining how many reps each state gets in Congress.

But you and I both know that we are one court case away from having the law barring non-US citizens from voting in federal elections struck down. There is absolutely nothing that cannot be rewritten via judicial fiat. If recent history has taught us nothing, it has taught us this.

Stop patronizing me.

I know all the points you think you are ‘teaching’ me.

And your broadbrush of other posters of incorrectly understanding the title is absurd.

Members can post what ever they want on this thread, not just info you approve of.

If you don’t like what I am posting just scroll past instead of acting in such a condescending manner.

I’m posting important info relevant to this thread

“Illegal aliens can’t vote in federal elections”

That’s the law, but is either naive of anyone to think they don’t, or they have an agenda.

Do you think all the people that checked ‘I am a citizen’ on their DL form have been vetted?

No they haven’t, and they DO vote, and in all elections.

(look up B Clinton’s motor voter program)

Millions of illegal insurgent invading alien colonists voted for Hillary in the last Presidential election, and many other elections.

And no, sorry I don’t trust you.
