"Asymptomatic people do NOT spread the virus."

EVERY disease which spreads "person-to-person" has had people who don't (YET) have symptoms, but are contagious. COVID is no different.

True, but only if the ones without symptoms really have a disease, rather than a phony positive test result.

Not really. To a tiny degree...yes. But the virus doesn’t have wings. It needs to be propelled out of the host to get anywhere. That propulsion - coughs, sneezing - is a symptom.

There is about a day where someone who is PRE-symptomatic is somewhat contagious, but only if you tough them, touch what they have touched (and then touch your face) or are close enough to feel their breath. Someone who is ASYMPTOMATIC - a different category - doesn’t seem to be contagious at all. As I pointed out, I know of two ASYMPTOMATIC people who passed through their time with the virus without knowing it. At first test, they were found to have PREVIOUSLY had it.

And neither of their spouses caught it.

What percentage of cases come from pre-symptomatic people? No good measurements, probably because pre-symptomatic people...usually DO have symptoms, just mild ones.

Lol.. any coronavirus will cause a positive COVID 19 test. Wait until the germ spreading kids return to mass indoctrination camps.

It is rumored that Canadians invented “dogstyle”. It allows both to watch the hockey game.

“The point here is that people are getting Covid 19 at home. Right in their own house or apartment.”

Remember four or six weeks ago when Cuomo did his dog and pony show every day? One of his reports was that EVERY new case of WuFlu was in people who had been doing extreme social distancing. They had been home 100% of the time, and some had been in self quarantine. He couldn’t understand it and, frankly, I’m surprised that he reported it since in conflict with the left’s narrative.

This is from the WHO, but they give the evidence for their conclusions:

“There is also the possibility of transmission from people who are infected and shedding virus but have not yet developed symptoms; this is called pre-symptomatic transmission. The incubation period for COVID-19, which is the time between exposure to the virus and symptom onset, is on average 5-6 days, but can be as long as 14 days.(21, 22) Additionally, data suggest that some people can test positive for COVID-19, via polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing 1-3 days before they develop symptoms.(23)

Pre-symptomatic transmission is defined as the transmission of the COVID-19 virus from someone infected and shedding virus but who has not yet developed symptoms. People who develop symptoms appear to have higher viral loads on or just prior to the day of symptom onset, relative to later on in their infection.(24)

Some people infected with the COVID-19 virus do not ever develop any symptoms, although they can shed virus which may then be transmitted to others. One recent systematic review found that the proportion of asymptomatic cases ranged from 6% to 41%, with a pooled estimate of 16%
(12%–20%),(25) although most studies included in this review have important limitations of poor reporting of symptoms, or did not properly define which symptoms they were investigating.

Viable virus has been isolated from specimens of pre-symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals, suggesting, therefore, that people who do not have symptoms may be able transmit the virus to others.(26)

Comprehensive studies on transmission from asymptomatic individuals are difficult to conduct, but the available evidence from contact tracing reported by Member States suggests that asymptomatically-infected individuals are much less likely to transmit the virus than those who develop symptoms.

Among the available published studies, some have described occurrences of transmission from people who did not have symptoms.(21,25-32) For example, among 63 asymptomatically-infected individuals studied in China, there was evidence that 9 (14%) infected another person.(31)

Furthermore, among two studies which carefully investigated secondary transmission from cases to contacts, one found no secondary transmission among 91 contacts of 9 asymptomatic cases,(33) while the other reported that 6.4% of cases were attributable to pre-symptomatic transmission.(32) The available data, to date, on onward infection from cases without symptoms comes from a limited number of studies with small samples that are subject to possible recall bias and for which fomite transmission cannot be ruled out.”

For emphasis, from the studies:

“...among two studies which carefully investigated secondary transmission from cases to contacts, one found no secondary transmission among 91 contacts of 9 asymptomatic cases,(33) while the other reported that 6.4% of cases were attributable to pre-symptomatic transmission.”

That would be 100% consistent with the extremely limited sample I’ve encountered. It also just makes sense.

In the Los Angeles Times, yesterday’s breathless headline - “ VIRUS DEATHS TOP 1,000 FOR FIRST TIME EVER”

What they never say . . . . Los Angeles Population - 12,447,000.

1000 deaths, probably half of that is fake numbers and diagnosis out of 12 and a half million and the whole state is shut down again

Still wearing a mask? Still think it’s not a hoax?

“When is enough enough?”

“Enough” will occur when Trump ENDS STIMULUS PAYMENTS to hospitals. Hospitals “earn” thousands for every Covid patient (dead or alive). Why WOULDN’T they report every patient and/or death as Covid? Someone walks through the door, and the bubbles over the administrators’ heads all say, “Fresh meat. Cha-CHING!”

Trump has GOT to stop incentivizing the healthcare industry to be dishonest. Enough already.

After being hospitalized in June, it only took a few hours for me to realize that healthcare no longer is about the patient. It’s all about profits and minimizing liability. Shameful.

So how exactly is this working? It’s 100 degrees outside. You go outside and zap, you’re cleansed. Then you go inside and you get the virus? Where is this cosmic virus hiding out? “It’s in the air ducts,” people tell me. How is that possible? How does it get there? How long can it live?

“Asymptomatic people do NOT spread the virus.”

And how about those people who have had it already? (Four in our family believe we had it in February on a cruise.) Immune people are being treated like Typhoid Mary along with everyone else.

Can I use this as an excuse to get my wife to stop talking to me about how her day went? You know how dangerous exhaling corona can be.

That’s likely to be far more deadly than catching the corona.

I think what the message here is to keep the schools closed ... that although the kids rarely get sick, they'll bring the Chinese Wuhan flu home and infect their parents ....

But how can this be?! ... when everyone is wearing a face diaper that provides "absolute protection" against these Chinese germs. Can it be that the politicians, the unelected bureaucrats and "The Experts" have been ... uh ... "misinforming" us about the efficacy of face diapers all along? After all and as they repeat ad nauseum, the politicians, the unelected bureaucrats and "The Experts" are just "following the science", y'know ... unless, of course, "the science" is corrupted. (Gee ... I sure hope that's not what's going on!)

When Dwayne Bennett tested positive, he self-isolated in his bedroom to stop the virus from racing through his Fort Lauderdale home.

If the AC was on, that's not self-isolating.

True. The people least likely to spread ANYTHING are often treated as more dangerous than anyone else!

Stay 6 ft away from your family members, wash your hands every time you touch something. For God’s sake don’t touch your face, and remember to wash that mask out carefully being sure not to touch the outside of it. Have your pizza delivery people put your pizza on your porch, then slide an envelope with your payment in it under your door (don’t forget to tip). Tell inconsiderate people who get too close to “back off” then lecture them about social distancing. Take hand sanitizer everywhere you go and wipe things like shopping carts down before you touch them. Be careful around your dog he can give you COVID too. Take your cash on hand and put it in the bank so you can access it with your debit card. Cash is filthy don’t you know, and potentially covered with COVID. There is also a change shortage, so using your debit card can actually save you money. You can’t have a funeral for your mother, but it’s ok to attend a race riot. What planet am I living on. People actually do this s##t and expect you too do it too. I’m not buying into the whole COVID scare. With all the fake numbers and stupid politicans
making insanely irrational rules, count me out.

Yes, this is the next step in the propaganda to keep schools closed.

Although I am totally puzzled over this goal. Having the kids at home is causing a lot of folks to look into homeschooling. Which is the opposite of what the indoctrinators want.

It must be difficult when there are conflicts in your goals to indoctrinate kids yet needing to have to schools closed down in order to force mail-in vote fraud to get the evil Trump out.

The key to listening to your wife talk about her day is to say a mix of the following when she pauses:

1. Tell me more. (She’s going to tell you more anyhow, so this isn’t as strange as it seems)..

2. How did that make you feel?

3. What does that mean to you.

4. We can talk about this more later...

Rotate the first 3 and use 4 when you’re ready to ‘move on’... Try it.

Excellent point linking the school reopenings to the Democrat/Left’s voter fraud strategy.

Charlie Harper used just two; “Good for you” and “ I understand”! Sometimes the word “for” is held for a beat or two.
