That dam was SUCH a big deal in China. Thousands of Chinese were displaced because of the damn dam. And now the damn dam STILL can't hold back the flooding.

In the USA way, way back when the Mississippi River flooded EVERY single year and the home owners kept getting PAID by the U.S. government.
Until one year the government said NO MORE MONEY because the river always floods--so MOVE. No more US$$ = people moved.

Those Chinese in the wake of the YEARLY flooding should be moved. China is a big country. There HAS to be some place to move them to.

183,000 people in Jiangxi province alone are in need of shelter, due to heavy seasonal rains and flooding that caused water levels of Poyang Lake to reach 22.6 metres. Jiangxi authorities raised the flood-control response to its highest level.
