If you reject the idea of rejecting identity politics, it certainly does imply that you are endorsing identity politics, since that is an either/or proposition.
Unless you are just apolitical and have no opinion, but I thought it safe to assume that isn’t the case, or you wouldn’t be posting here.
Identity politics, defined as people identifying with a particular group and then working together to advance the interests of that group, is always going to be predominant.
It is, after all, how every country on Earth got started.
Pretending that it will go away doesn’t work.
However, people can focus on constructive outcomes for their own group.
Right now, many are focusing on destructive outcomes for those outside their group.
Paint a picture.
State how you feel things are now with identity groups and how you feel things would be without identity groups.
What is being pursued now and how?
What would be pursued, and how, in your ideal dynamic?
