A video released by a recently formed anti-Trump group on Monday sparked an overnight Twitter rampage from President Donald Trump. One of the group’s richest backers? Walmart billionaire Christy Walton.
The Lincoln Project, a super-PAC founded by prominent Republicans including George Conway (husband of White House advisor Kellyanne Conway), released the video, titled “Mourning in America,” attacking Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. The one-minute video postulated, “Under the leadership of Donald Trump, our country is weaker and sicker and poorer. And now Americans are asking, ‘If we have another four years like this, will there even be an America?’” The group is currently asking for donations to help run the video as an advertisement on national television.
The video was a play on Ronald Reagan’s 1984 “Morning in America” campaign ad, which highlighted the positive impact of Reagan’s first term. In response to the ad, Trump called The Lincoln Project leaders “loser types” and tweeted, “A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, ‘Morning in America’, doing everything possible to get even for all of their many failures.”

It was not that long ago if you bashed Wal marts China connection on conservative pages you were ridiculed and bashed for being against free market capitalism.

Thank you for your comment...Walmart has destroyed middle-class, small-town America by putting local merchants out of business, closing down family-owned manufacturers who can’t compete with slave labor factories in China, and depopulated downtown squares where mom and pop property owners now have empty, deteriorating storefronts. Talk about a company that needs to be boycotted!!! I do and have for many years...

I worked for Wally for 5 years at their corporate HQ back in the early 2000s.
They buy a LOT of stuff from China. I’m sure its quite inconvenient for them to look for alternative sources of low cost supply. I’m sure they don’t like the tariffs President Trump has put on China with the promise of more.

I wish I could have seen the "reporters" facial expressions. We already knew this about Obama, but the so-called press must spend their time with their hands over their eyes lest they inadvertantly see anything negative about Obama or any other Dem.
It tells me the former masters and leaders of the Republican party are all facing unemployment because Donald Trump is America first not Republican 1st And certainly not in bed with the chamber of Commerce.

Excellent! I have heard that she is a cut above the usual pedestrian crowd.
Kayleigh McEnany is far above any press secretary I have ever seen. She is knowledgable, brilliant, pleasant and well-spoken.
She answers most questions from her head, but she has a notebook which she thumbs through while a "reporter" is asking a snarky gotcha question. When she finds the relevant information, she says something like "I'm glad you asked that" and then hits them with detailed specifics to refute their attack.
She refers them to the CDC, DOJ, etc. where appropriate. She ends each press conference with a smack-down of information that is of her choosing. Well worth a watch.
She calls on each person once. They may ask more than one question, but do not get a second term. There is order in the press room.
I admit I never watch; too many med issues of late. Is there a single daily source?
