I was thinking along the same lines myself. We do not need attorneys, policy wonks, or corporate leaders because they are all politicians.
We need people who have built their own businesses from the ground up because people who build things can build a country.

The only two GOP pols who showed any stones over the past several months are Kristi Noem and Ron DeSantis. I left the GOP whith Bush 41 but either of these two could get me back.

I was disappointed that Trump didn’t single out the SD governor to thank her, in his Rushmore speech. He started out by acknowledging a whole bunch of public officials who were there - senators, congressmen, etc - but didn’t mention her. Even though she had just introduced him. Maybe it was a slip up but it was kind of tacky

I listened to Desantis on a radio interview yesterday. Very quick and articulate. I like Trump a lot, but wish he could be more focused when he speaks, and not ramble. Desantis doesn’t have that problem
