The media doesn't want to drill down into the numbers, and Fauci is too busy doing interviews to actually reveal the data as well.
I’m not terribly happy with how our governor has run things, but our data collection and reporting is pretty good, and he has been a lot more of a “guidelines” than a “crackdown” leader. So we have mask rules, but only indoors, or if you are in a crowd. We never really closed everything, a lot of businesses who were “non-critical” were allowed to operate if they restricted customers to 10 or less at a time.
Our numbers are pretty good, and our testing is slowly increasing. We have outbreaks that are clearly associated with specific events; right now we have a surge in our beach area, where kids are running for the summer, and having parties. These are the kids that were rioting in Richmond for the past month, and probably got infected there, and are spreading it to an older population in the shores that are getting sick enough to be tested and hospitalized.
