Number of cases means zero.
The only numbers to watch are deaths and more importantly two death rates - deaths per number of confirmed cases, and deaths per million people.
Cases that do not fall into the death category are not an expression of the virus being more deadly now. It is an expression of a lot more younger folks without comorbidity factors getting their mild and/or asymptomatic case and their share of herd immunity.
For those who still think Sweden was wrong, it’s statistical death rate is now 0%.

You have to measure today’s deaths against cases from 2-3 weeks ago, since it takes 2-3 weeks to die from COVID after once being infected.
