The Duke himself may have gotten upset that a casual remark he made (the sort of thing that certainly would have been edited out of an interview in magazines throughout the 30’s-60’s) got into print. Most of us would never have have heard about it anyway. After all, men didn’t buy Playboy for the interviews. It’s a single blasted interview, yet we’ve got deem John Wayne “inappropriate” over it.

Likewise for the call of the complete removal of Kate Bush singing “God bless America” in sporting stadiums because she recorded another single obscure song, now deemed “offensive”.

I’m counter-offended when they start “cancelling” people that have passed away over what’s essentially trivial crud that SJWs had to dig up and research to find “anything” offensive.

The Duke starred in 142 Movies. A career that spanned five decades and dominated the ‘Western Genre’ of motion pictures. So it makes sense that a School of Cinematic Arts would expunge this great actor, who attended their University, and gave them tons of support and memorabilia.
