I’ve seen reporting (which I obviously can’t verify) that hospitals in Florida, Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, California, and Georgia are running out of space already and have started shipping patients to other hospitals. In California, Los Angeles hospitals are reportedly shipping their patients all the way up to the San Francisco area (400 miles away).

For the US as a whole, the 7-day moving average for COVID-19 deaths is the highest it’s been since June 24th. The 3-day moving average is the highest it’s been since June 11th. People are getting sick and people are dying.
