Joe Biden said in an interview Wednesday that some funding should “absolutely” be redirected from police, amid calls from some in his party to "defund the police" in the wake of the protests across the country.
Biden's campaign has said he does not support defunding the police. But in a Now This interview with activist Ady Barkan, the presumptive Democratic nominee said that police forces don’t need surplus military equipment, saying this is what leads them to “become the enemy” in a community.
“But do we agree that we can redirect some of the [police] funding?” Barkan asked Biden.

This is one thing we can all agree on. The fact that two full time cops, who do nothing except wrote speeding tickets a teach kids to rat on their parents, will lose their jobs, influences my opinion not a bit.
I don’t know about y’all but around hear we have city cops, county sheriffs, StateHP, Park Police, University Police, StateDOT police, State Investigative cops, and then a pile of weapons carrying state agency “inspectors” for State OSHA, Tax, Enviro. I may be missing a few. Oh yeah gun carrying prisons and parole officers and social workers.

Here’s the deal, local police budget is controlled better than most goverment money, but there is some bloat, however the left just wants to use the police budget to redirect into their pockets, slush funds and other projects for doners like all the money they steal from tax payers. They want to create yet another social program they can rob instead of having the police.
