We used to cross the Tappan Zee Bridge on our trips to Westchester County. We started using it when it was still brand new. Dad would always say “Look, kids...there’s the Empire State Building” pointing south down the river.
The loss of that beautiful old traditional blended Indian / Dutch name really saddened me. It is beyond disgusting what Cuomo did to that name.
