Judge Rules All of Illinois Free From Gov. Pritzker’s Unlawful Mandates

Late last week, Illinois Circuit Court Judge Michael McHaney of Clay County ruled in a lawsuit that “all citizens of Illinois” are free from Governor J.B. Pritzker‘s tyrannical orders. This comes after arguably unethical tactics by the Illinois Attorney General to delay the case by trying to remove it to federal court, and the United States Department of Justice filing a Statement of Interest in the case in support of the lawsuit.

The poor children in all of this

My neighbors are switching to home school over all of the restrictions.

My son is finishing up his engineering degree at NIU, he and his classmates

wonder if they will ever be considered "real" engineers after they graduate.

I've been wondering this for weeks. How many rights guaranteed by the UNITED STATES Constitution have been infringed by the numerous proclamations of Governors/Mayors (almost all of whom are Rats or RINOS) over the last 4-5 months?

About a month ago a Federal judge in Boston ruled that the RINO Governor of Massachusetts violated the 2nd Amendment rights of state residents by ordering the closure of gun shops and gun ranges and ordered them reopened.

And we saw huge demonstrations, often featuring bricks and Molotov Cocktails,in major cities from coast to coast yet in many states religious gatherings (in churches and elsewhere) have been banned. 1st Amendment, anyone?

And then there's the right to engage in interstate commerce, also guaranteed by the UNITED STATES Constitution.

This is only the beginning . . . Our nation has thumbed its nose at God, the Constitution, the right to life, etc. etc. etc. Unless we repent as a nation, I don’t see a silver lining to any of this . . . but the good news. . . believers in Christ can look for a glorious future!

That ruling has more teeth in than I thought. Most of the other articles I read were implying that the public health department would just implement the Governor's orders instead. Apparently not so.

**************************************************************************** "The judge made clear that in Illinois only the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and local health departments have the authority to restrict movement or close a business. To restrict movement or close a business, IDPH and local health departments must act within the constraints of existing law to take each individual person or business to court and overcome an incredibly high burden of proof. If the department is merely trying to prevent the spread of a virus or isolate a person that’s not already sick, that burden of proof is nearly insurmountable.

Specifically, Section 2 of the IDPH Act (20 ILCS 2305) allows the IDPH and local health authorities to order quarantine and isolation and to close places to prevent the probable spread of a dangerous or infectious disease. However, these agencies cannot make such orders without a prior court order, or consent by the person or persons effected."

I loathe him too. Can’t wait to see what happens later this month when his daughter gets married in a big wingding in central NJ.

He is a hypocritical piece of trash. That is the ONLY reason he graciously approved gatherings of 500 people. Once his daughter is married, he will then rescind that allowance.
