My BIL retired from healthcare admin and worked closely with Johns Hopkins. He does know who “pulls the strings”, and it ain’t pretty. I think he said you can tell a lot by looking at whom faciities, foundations, and buildings are named after. For one: “Gates”.

It’s all about money and power.
Lost all respect for them after reading about their attempted destruction of a young cancer researcher’s career AND blatant attempt to use her work to create a moneymaker(failed). Her “cure” is inexpensive but works, they took it and modified molecules to make it profitable...but failed.
JHU was successful in delaying use of 3BP by decades and the research needed to make it universally useful(by-products of massive cancer destruction need to be removed from the body during treatment to avoid overload of the body’s filtering systems...liver & kidney). This is the same 3BP that a doctor in Europe killed 3 folks with because he got the dosing wrong AND the dead cancer cell debri removal issue has not been totally solved.

There is a dangerous cluster in the DC area to Baltimore of the ego driven med centers, from NIH to CDC, the top military hospitals and other high ranking med centers.
Too many of the doctors in these areas become masters of the PR game to gather the big $’s from the government and health care industry. Their personal agendas in this area often replaces the real world like the low cost treatments of Covid 19 versus expensive theoretical stuff in development or often existing only in their minds.
