My son says we will have to kill half of his generation to save the country.
oh well
That’s a rather strange and alarming statement.
There is probably much truth to it.
Japan is having a similar experience with it’s youth.
A small group of their young are said to actively fear direct contact and confrontation with other people, preferring to encounter the world only via computer.
Unfortunately, your son is probably correct. The crap they have been taught and the confusion they have would be as difficult to reverse as deprogramming a Moonie. They believe a random assortment of things but almost all of them are just flat wrong. What is more, they believe them with a fervor that is almost inconceivable and certainly irreconcilable.
The other problem is that it is not just one generation in such a state, it is at least three of them plus some of the boomers and certainly late boomers.
Sadly, I believe that we are done for. Our present problems are not recoverable within any reasonable amount of time or effort and we don’t have any plan to even begin the process. The school curriculum is the place to start ending the damage but what of the millions already out of school who are so far gone? Soon there will not be any people left to do the deprogramming.
Reagan’s maxim will come true.
Their indoctrination worked, they are mindless husks of emotion and anger and nothing else
The bad news for him and the rest of the males in the sane part of his generation is that most of those who need to be wiped out appear to be female.
You’re son is right. When I see these people spouting off about revolution, and changing the government, in my mind I’m saying: “Then prepare to die.”
I don’t have a problem with that. Maybe / probably more than half.
