I keep hearing that European Americans have white privilege. Where is this mythical beast?

I remember in the early seventies when my class of recent college grads was “accidentally” told by an HR staffer that none of us would get promoted until the black men and women were taken care of. So we all just took our white privilege and left for other endeavors. We all did quite well.
