Lift Evry Voice and Sing will be performed live or played before The Star-Spangled Banner prior to each NFL game during Week 1 and the league is considering putting names of victims of police brutality on helmet decals or jersey patches, a person familiar with the discussions told The Associated Press.

The only way I watch now is if they go back to showing the cheerleaders and said cheerleaders are topless wearing little football pasties.
The white players should kneel during the so-called black national anthem.
Are we back to John Edwards’s “Two Americas”. Sure looks like it.
If the NFL plays the black national anthem in an empty stadium, does it make a sound?
A hallmark of conquest — replacement. Eventually, they’ll quit playing the Star Spangled Banner and this black anthem will be the only one they place.
Replacement of our cultural icons is happening at a dizzying pace.
Isnt it oxymoronic for the opening lyric of a BLACK national anthem to be lift EVERY voice and sing?
Talk about taking hostage fans of football for a round of CHAZ/CHOP filth rammed down their throats.
Dont people have any self respect anymore? I still have Trump voters going to the games. What the heck.
NFL is dead to me
NBA is dead to me
I will make note of those that advertise on their games. I shall boycott them.
The time for spending money on professional sports should be over for any self respecting conservative.
I was a big Steelers fan years ago. The NFL lost me when they made the game unwatchable with stupid rules and the abundance of commercials during a telecast. So far they have done nothing to lure me back. I couldn’t tell you who is on the team now.
NFL: I know this sounds crazy, but youre there ONLY to play football, so dont play ANY anthem, no victim names, no police socks, no politics, and also no strip tease halftime shows
I dare some player to kneel when they play it.
so the NfL is all about segregation now-
[Screw the National Felons League.]
I hope they get a maximum of 10% showing up for games.
But then, I’m going elsewhere but Chik-fil-A from now on too.
Can’t imagine buying their stuff again. I’ll be reminded of Dan Cathy each time.
[The NFL is dead.]
Works for me.

... Sky Sports have put on extra sessions with anti-racism organisation Kick It Out and the PFA (Professional Footballers’ Association).
The broadcasters were keen to ensure all reporters used appropriate language and were sensitive with their phrasing while discussing Black Lives Matter stories.
And “nitty gritty” has emerged as one such phrase that must be avoided, according to the Daily Mail.
While there is some debate over the origin of the phrase, it’s believed it refers to the debris left after a slave ship was emptied.
However, the list of banned words is said to have sparked uproar amongst some Sky Sports staff - who claim they now face an “absolute minefield” every time the go on air...
The source said: “There are phrases most people would have absolutely no idea would cause offence and that, to be frank, I’d be amazed if people were offended by.
“It’s making what is already a difficult job harder and it feels unnecessary.
“There are obvious things that should not be said and I think everyone believes that education on these issues needs to be improved.
“But this feels like we are tripping over ourselves.”...

3 Jul: Daily Mail: Now you see them, now you don’t! BLM badges disappear again from Sky Sports’ Premier League after returning for a day after the BBC branded them ‘political’ and BANNED them from screens

The BBC yesterday banned pundits and guests from wearing BLM badges, with a senior source at the corporation telling the Daily Telegraph bosses decided they did not want ‘visual symbols of support’ for the movement to be worn on screen.
On Sunday’s Match of the Day, neither Alan Shearer or Micah Richards were wearing Black Lives Matter badges...
The BBC source told the Daily Telegraph: ‘The BBC cannot be seen to support any kind of cause over another, and Black Lives Matter is certainly a campaign.
‘Therefore we wouldn’t want anyone on-screen to be wearing visual symbols of support. Our presenters and guests can discuss Black Lives Matter, and we’ve reported on it in depth...
*** Matt Le Tissier said he had only worn the badge after being asked to do so by bosses at the broadcaster (Sky/Comcast/NBC Universal), while stressing he ‘could not support’ the cause’s anti police and capitalist aims.
He had, along with fellow Sky pundit Jamie Carragher, appeared on air wearing a BLM badge.
However, on Wednesday nights coverage David Jones, James Collins and Ashley Cole were all still wearing the badges in Sky’s coverage of Bournemouth vs Newcastle and Everton vs Leicester.
The Black Lives Matter logo was also shown on the broadcaster’s pre-match graphic...

A negro anthem? Let me guess, a lot of mudda-fuggers, chanted to an endless jungle beat?
